I have encountered this malware five times in the past week alone on client’s computers.  It is a nasty little critter and can effectively render your computer unusable.  The safest advice is to not click on any links on Facebook unless you check with the user to verify it is a clean link.  DO NOT click on anything that says you need to update your virus protection, update flash player…  Clicking will redirect to an infected site and you are toast!  If it is too late and you have the malware, I would suggest first running TrendMicro’s Housecall and then installing Microsoft Essentials Virus Protection and running a full system scan.  These both seem very effective in tracking and removing the malware.
